• Zoom Live CSL Classes - Tuesdays

This powerful program is dedicated to preparing participants to pass the Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License Exam (MACS).

It is presented with a live instructor in the virtual Zoom classroom and parallels our highly successful in-person presentation.

Please note: Students selecting virtual classes must be able to have a distraction free space during the class hours to focus on classwork, as does the in- person classroom provide.
Distractions such as phone calls, TVs, pets, children, and food may lower a person's ability to focus on classwork.
Please do not register for this class unless you have a quiet spot for the class.  We want you to be prepared for the state exam.

Tuesday classes are held one night a week for seven weeks, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Dates for this class are:

January 7, 14, 21, 28
February 4, 11, 25

There are no classes scheduled during the week of February 16th, due to winter vacation.

This course requires the following five books and two amendments which are to be used in the exam:

1.  International Building Code 2021  (IBC 2021)   3-ring binder loose leaf edition preferred
2.  780 CMR Massachusetts Amendment package for IBC 2021
3.  International Residential Building Code 2021   (IRC 2021)   3-ring binder loose leaf edition preferred
4.  780 CMR Massachusetts Amendment package for IRC 2021
5.  International Energy Conservation Code 2021 (IECC 2021) OR
International Energy Conservation Code 2024 (IECC 2024)
6.  521 CMR, the Architectural Access Board Rules and Regulations
7.  OSHA Title 29 Part 1926

Code books and chapter dividers are not included in the price of the course and may be purchased from CCI or any vendor or your choice.

Code books and chapter dividers purchased from CCI for students attending the current CCI series of classes will be delivered to the location of their choice within New England or eastern New York State in time for their first class by the U.S. Postal Service, if purchased by the Wednesday before classes start.

If purchasing your IBC or IRC from another vendor, we suggest you purchase the loose-leaf versions, because we organize them so that they are “exam ready.”

“Exam ready” books have sections and amendments added directly into the book, eliminating any time lost in finding them when needed.  The order of information in the book is changed to expedite finding information and to make a logical flow of information for understanding the code.   Sections of the code that are not applicable to our work are removed to eliminate any confusion on which section to use when finding information.  In addition, full page tabbed chapter dividers provide a space to make notes of critical information relating to the chapter for the exam.

Soft cover versions of the code cost less, but are substantially less effective for the learning process and for finding information quickly. During the exam, quick is the key ..."exam ready" turns that key and saves substantial time.

If you have soft cover versions of the codes, we suggest that you shave the binding off and drill three holes in them so you may put them into a three-ring binder. The binder for the IBC should be one-half inch or more wider than required for inserting the altered soft cover code, to accommodate the materials we will be giving you to organize your book. The binder for the IRC should be be slightly thicker than required for inserting the altered soft cover code. Some Staples stores have the capability of shaving the binding and drilling the three holes need for the three-ring binder.

Books ordered after the Wednesday before classes start will incur an additional fee to expedite U.S. Postal Service delivery.

Early registration course cost is $399.95.  Late registration course cost is $449.95.  Early registration ends on the Wednesday before classes begin.

There are no registrations accepted after the class has begun.

NOTE: To register for the construction supervisor license exam, examinees must be 18 years of age or older; must provide Prometric, the testing agency, with their social security number; and must prove that they have at least three years of construction and/or design experience with their application for the exam.
