Code books are not included in the price of the course and may be purchased from CCI or any vendor or your choice.
Code books purchased from CCI for students attending the current CCI series of classes include heavy duty three-ring mylar tabbed chapter dividers. Code books and dividers will be delivered to class for free, if purchased by the Thursday before classes start.
Ordering books after the Thursday before classes start will incur a delivery fee.
If purchasing your IBC or IRC from another vendor, we suggest you purchase the loose-leaf versions, because we organize them so that they are “exam ready.”
“Exam ready” books have sections and amendments added directly into the book, eliminating any time lost in finding them when needed. The order of information in the book is changed to expedite finding information and to make a logical flow of information for understanding the code. Sections of the code that are not applicable to our work are removed to eliminate any confusion on which section to use when finding information. In addition, full page tabbed chapter dividers provide a space to make notes of critical information relating to the chapter for the exam.
Soft cover versions of the code cost less, but are substantially less effective for the learning process and for finding information quickly. During the exam, quick is the key ..."exam ready" turns that key and saves substantial time.
If you have soft cover versions of the codes, we suggest that you shave the binding off and drill three holes in them so you may put them into a three-ring binder. The binder for the IBC should be one-half inch or more wider than required for inserting the altered soft cover code, to accommodate the materials we will be giving you to organize your book. The binder for the IRC should be be slightly thicker than required for inserting the altered soft cover code. Some Staples stores have the capability of shaving the binding and drilling the three holes need for the three-ring binder.
Books and materials may NOT be purchased at class. Instructors do not accept any form of payment at class.
You may use a payment plan to budget the cost of this program. You will have to put $324.95 down.
